Hardware: Overview
Over the years we've developed a number of hardware products to better support our clients applications. With decades of collective Electronics Engineering experience we have the expertise to specify and if necessary develop the electronics needed for your project. These include sensor interface products and channel expansion products which offer unique capabilities not available from other vendors. For example, decades of collective experience using Vibrating Wire instrumentation led to the development of several Vibrating Wire interface products. We've also developed interface products for current sensors, accelerometers, optical encoders and many others. Designing for demanding environments means our products must operate with very low power, be able to withstand electrical transients and operate reliably in hot and humid conditions. These products are sold through several re-sellers, directly from the factory, or fabricated directly into the systems we provide. Contact Canary Systems to obtain pricing and lead-time. VW Comm- Build wired or wireless networks of vibrating wire instrumentation Three industry standard communication interfaces are included: RS-232, RS-485 and SDI-12. VWDSP Interface - Highly reliable vibrating wire gage measurements The VWDSP Interface consists of a precision differential amplifier front-end and analog filter in addition to digital signal processing techniques to effectively ensure that a correct measurement is obtained. MicroMux - 4-channel (4-wire) or 8-channel (2-wire) channel expansion The MicroMux is designed to expand the number of instruments that can be read by a compatible Automatic Data Acquisition System (ADAS). It supports two switching modes, 4 channel by 4-wire switching, or 8 channel by 2-wire switching. An internal switch configures the switching mode. more> |

The MultiMux is available in 2 versions, one that provides 16 channel by 4-wire switching (or 32 channel by 2-wire switching), a second that provides 16 channel by 6-wire switching (or 48 channel by 2-wire switching). Both products include integrated OVP on all channels thereby providing increased system reliability in areas prone to lightning or other transients. Canary Systems Data Acquisitions Systems We build a wide range of off-the-shelf and custom electronics packages to address the monitoring needs of our customers. Systems may include hardware products of our own for sensor interface such as our VW Comm Module or VWDSP Interface or products from other manufacturers such as the Campbell AVW200. Data acquisition modules include those manufactured by Campbell Scientific, Sutron and Dataq Instruments. Communications include wired and wireless products from a variety of manufacturers including Campbell Scientific, Maxstream, Sierra Wireless, Motorola, R.E.
